After more than a decade of service, the Geethal Data Systems Limited (GDSL) system used for the CORNERSTONE® accreditation programme has been discontinued.

In its place, the College has rolled out the system used for the Foundation Standard certification to all practices currently engaged in the CORNERSTONE® programme. This system is called QA2QI (Quality Assurance to Quality Improvement). Having both CORNERSTONE® accreditation and Foundation certification using the same system will lead to system and process efficiencies.

GDSL was turned off on Friday 28 October at 5pm and will not be available again from this date. QA2QI was made available from the week beginning 21 November. During the transition phase, we recommend you work offline and continue gathering evidence to load when the new system becomes available to you.

For those practices and assessors with an assessment visit booked around this time, and those in post-assessment dialogue after a recent visit, we will contact you directly to make special arrangements for you. You should aim to upload your files to GDSL before 5pm Friday 28 October.

For all other CORNERSTONE® practices, your current assessment data, including comments and attachments, will be migrated over to the new system automatically.  We plan to have a staged release of the new system. We will contact you directly nearer the time to give you a more definite time and date about when your practice will switch over.

If you have any questions please contact us on cornerstone@rnzcgp.org.nz

What will this mean for Foundation Standard practices?

If you are working through the Foundation Standard criteria on the current QA2QI, please carry on as usual. You may notice a few small changes to the template and layout when the new system goes live but your assessment will still be there. We will let you know what these changes are nearer the time.
