Application Process

Applicants complete an application form detailing past educational and clinical experience and nominate two referees.  Applications close in June for the following year's programme.

All applicants are interviewed in their preferred region for training.

On the basis of application details, referee reports and interview, applicants are ranked against the criteria for selection.  

Registrars are selected on the basis of their meeting the selection criteria and at interview being the most able and committed to general practice.

Offers of positions are usually made in August.  Some applicants may be waitlisted if there are more suitable applicants than places available. 

We anticipate that details of the 2011 programme and an application form will be available in April 2010.
