As reported in our Special ePulses last week, BMJ Learning, in light of the tragic earthquake in Christchurch, has opened New Zealand-wide access to its clinical decision support tool, 'Best Practice' here.
BMJ has also provided mobile access to 'Best Practice' This will be extremely helpful to those doctors who are on the move and unable to access a computer.
To access BMJ 'Best Practice' on your mobile, input bp.bmjgroup.mobi into your web browser.
BMJ has reported that over the past four days 7605 sections were visited (this does not include mobile access statistics), with the majority of conditions viewed being: ST-elevation myocardial infarction, acute diarrohoea, shock, concussion, back pain, dizziness, non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction, crush syndrome, hip fractures, cutaneous burns, eye trauma, abdominal pain in children, neuroleptic malignant syndrome and critical incident stress management.
This indicates that 'Best Practice' most certainly is helping doctors deal with patients as a result of the devastating Christchurch earthquake.
