The College has developed its briefing to the Minister of Health. This document outlines the College’s views on the most important matters for general practitioners and general practice which are:

• The general practitioner workforce (core of the Primary Health Care Strategy)
• Models of care for general practice and primary care
• Clinical leadership, including clinical governance
• The evidence base for high quality clinical care.

The briefing includes information about the College and the value of general practice.  It also provides the College’s views on recently announced National Party policy and offers support and advice where appropriate.
