Everything we do is aimed at strengthening and supporting you in your practice. As a Member or Fellow of the College you can access our full range of education programmes and resources that help you maintain registration in the vocational scope of general practice, allowing you to practise independently.
You have tasked us to make your united voice heard at the highest levels of Government about the issues facing general practice.
The Journal of Primary Health Care (JPHC) is the College's new peer-reviewed journal designed to meet the information needs of New Zealand (NZ) general practitioners, practice nurses, clinical and community pharmacists plus other primary health care practitioners and the patients and communities we serve. It is also available on this website, and we provide a local search engine for you to search the issues.
ePulse is our electronic newsletter, bringing you the fastest and latest news in the health sector. GP Pulse, the printed version, reaches every member, and includes the latest news on College operations, the decisions of your representatives on the executive and council and the current issues facing the primary care sector.
Each month we publish resources in reponse to the changing environment in general practice. All publications are free to members for the initial copy.

Members of the RNZCGP can now gain free access to BMJ Learning, one of the world’s most respected online learning services for GPs.
Working in conjunction with the British Medical Journal, BMJ Learning offers a range of learning resources which deal with everyday issues in primary care, general practice and hospital medicine. BMJ learning currently offers over 500 evidence-based learning modules, which are regularly updated. The site will be customised, with plans in development for specific New Zealand content.
BMJ Learning will be actively promoted to GPEP1 trainees, and form part of the structured learning for this programme. We'll be working on rolling it out into GPEP2 and CME over the next year.

Developed in partnership with Alac, the alcohol workshop is aimed at trainees, and at you.
There will be more as we make MOPS more interactive, allowing you to enter and keep your credits up to date.Already, our registered providers provide course attendances online. It is all aimed at simplifying your compliance and reducing your paperwork.
We rotate among our faculties with our annual conference, choosing a venue and theme that will stimulate and educate you. Registration is discounted for members.
In 2010 the Annual Scientific Conference will be held in Christchurch.
