The College promotes educational programmes to maintain and improve skills related to general practice and rural hospital medicine.
Vocationally registered doctors must obtain a minimum of 30 credits from endorsed CME per triennium. General registrants must obtain a minimum of 20 credits from endorsed CME per annum.

The most suitable option for you will depend on the frequency with which you provide CME and your ability to fulfil the requirements of being a registered provider (including attending a one day orientation for new providers, reporting requirements, online registering of events etc).
The College does not endorse programmes that are provided by commercial, for profit entities and has a strict policy with regards to pharmaceutical industry involvement.
Note: The College will also give credit for CME events held in Australia endorsed by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM).
N.B. This approval does not extend to RACGP/ACRRM-approved courses being held in New Zealand.
