Epulse Special – Influenza Immunisation Programme 2010

The Ministry of Health have released an information pack for clinicians containing full details of the two-stage influenza vaccination programme beginning in February. The pack includes information on the Early Protection Programme against pandemic H1N1 influenza for frontline health workers and those most at risk, and details of the immunisation benefit and payments. Please note that the programme is being co-ordinated locally via DHBs. If you have not already received information about how the programme will be run in your area, contact names and details for your local DHB are available on page 21 of the information pack. To assist with the programme, a short multi-dose vial training module has been developed by (IMAC) and can be accessed at http://www.immune.org.nz.
