The final touches are currently being put on the report of PMS systems. This is the first time in New Zealand that PMS products have been evaluated together by an independent panel of clinicians and technologists for a public report that compares and contrasts the systems. The report will be published this week on the Patients First website and will provide an assessment of the four PMS vendor products across a key set of five areas. We will link you to the actual report in our first ePulse of 2012.
This is the first of a series of reviews that are planned to take place on a six-monthly basis and review the functionality (and technical capability) of PMS systems in a move to evaluate products and provide the sector with an independent view on how PMS systems stack up in today’s environment.
The initiative is led by Patients First (co-sponsored by RNZCGP, GPNZ and the National Health IT Board). The programme is available to discuss the reports findings with you and to get your input as to future areas of focus you would like to see for the reviews.
