Improving Maori access to mainstream general practice services and boosting the effectiveness of care provided are key elements of the College mission to improve the health of all New Zealanders. This will include appropriate and up to date training in cultural competence of both general practices and practitioners

This section is for:

  • Maori medical students or doctors interested in becoming a GP
  • Maori medical students or doctors wanting to be involved in any activities in your area, e.g. Maori GP peer group meetings or Maori medical student education meetings on what general practice training is all about
  • Maori medical graduates interested in a postgraduate rural rotation
  • Maori doctors or practices wanting to become a teacher or teaching practice
  • People looking for information on Maori health.
