Redirection of 'Diabetes Get Checked' - online survey - have your say!

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has provided the College with an update on the redirection of the ‘Diabetes Get Checked’ funding, to share with our members here.

More detailed communication is currently being prepared for release by the MoH to the sector in the next couple of weeks.

DHBs will use the funding currently allocated to ‘Get Checked’ to provide a ‘Diabetes Care Improvement Package’ to be planned in consultation with primary care. DHBs are required to include detail on how they will implement the package in their annual plans - due with the MoH in March 2013.

We encourage you to have your say on these changes and welcome your suggestions as to how the redirected funding should be used, and how DHBs can consult with primary care.

The results from this survey will be discussed with the MoH and assist DHB’s with their planning.
