MOPS - Requirements & Criteria

The programme is for GPs registered by the Medical Council of New Zealand under the vocational scope of general practice whether or not they are members of the College.

Doctors normally commence MOPS after:

• completing the College’s General Practice Education Programme (Stage 2) programme, and
• attaining Fellowship of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (FRNZCGP).

Recertification requirements for part-time doctors are the same as for full-time doctors. The flexibility of the MOPS programme should allow part-time doctors to be able to attain the minimum requirements without difficulty.
