GP Allergy Update
Managing allergies in primary care

Advances in treatments such as immunotherapy, and in clinical practice, such as evidence-based guidelines on diagnosis, infant feeding, allergy prevention, and management of food allergy, can substantially improve health outcomes for patients if implemented in primary care.

New Zealand primary care practitioners with experience in allergy will use case studies to demonstrate practical skills, clinical practice, and resources available for general practitioners in the management of allergies.

The seminar is being held in conjunction with the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy's (ASCIA) annual scientific conference at the Viaduct Centre in Auckland 13-15 September 2017.

Speakers: Allergist and Medical Rhinologist, Dr Jessica Tattersall ( Sydney); NZ GPs Tim Jefferies, Anna Gilmour and Rebekah Wilson; NZ dietitian Anna Richards; allergy and eczema nurse specialist Pauline Brown; and ASCIA National Allergy Strategy (Australia) coordinator Sandra Vale.

Places are limited. Registrations close 9 September 2017.
