Research promotion

From time to time, we offer to help promote research studies in our weekly e-newsletter, ePulse, that goes to the majority of our 5,000 members. This is a fee free service, however the research is chosen at our discretion and will be assessed on a case by case basis.

All promoted research must be relevant to general practice or rural hospital medicine in New Zealand, with requests from members of the College receiving priority. Research which focuses on the following health topics will also be given priority:

  • Health equity
  • Rural health
  • Mental health
  • Obesity
  • Telehealth
  • Tobacco and smoking
  • Diabetes
  • Alcohol harm

How we can help

If we agree to help promote your research, you’ll be able to submit a short, 75-word segment for our e-newsletter, along with instructions to participate (including a link to your survey if applicable). We’ll include your segment in one of our weekly issues, which go out every Tuesday afternoon.

How to submit a request

To submit a request, please complete the form below. We'll recieve a notification once it's submitted, and get in touch to confirm we've received it. Once we have reviewed your research, we will let you know whether we can help promote it in our e-newsletter. If you have any questions about our form or the process for reviewing research, please email communications@rnzcgp.org.nz.
