Editor, Journal of Primary Health Care

The College is seeking a new Editor for our Journal of Primary Health Care (JPHC). The sole-charge position relies entirely on online work so can be undertaken anywhere in New Zealand. 

As Editor of the Journal, you will be responsible for the delivery of the journal to a high standard, four times a year. You will provide academic insight and oversight into the selection of submitted articles, and work with the publisher to shape each issue.

You will leverage your networks to ensure submissions to the Journal are contemporary, high-quality, and reflect rigorous thinking and research on the theme of primary health care.

The role will be paid for 25 hours per week. You will work closely (yet remotely) with a group of assistant editors, our Australian publisher, and the College’s Manager of Communications and Events. 

About the Journal
The Journal of Primary Health Care publishes peer-reviewed original research, reflections reflections and systematic reviews and papers on improving performance that are relevant to its primary health care audience.

The Journal is positioned as relevant to Australasian, and Pacific Island and Pacific rim countries and is a means both of moving research into practice and practice into research. It is published quarterly in March, June, September, and December.

The Journal has a strong reputation and often receives media coverage of its work.
