Useful contact details 
CME

Faculties seeking College endorsement for their educational activities and events are required to complete a brief application form outlining the educational content, your event programme and any supporting information.  Once submitted, applications may take up to 10 days to process. 
  
We will send you your approval email with how many credits can be claimed for, along with a logo to add to your activity or event letting members know that the educational content has been endorsed by the College.  There is no application or endorsement fee charged for Faculty hosted activities or events.

Useful tools and training

College Rules (Faculty 17.) The College Rules 
The College rules set out who can become a member of the College, and members’ rights, duties and privileges. They also describe the College’s charitable purpose and how the College will be governed.

Faculty Terms of Reference 
The Faculty Terms of Reference is a useful tool used by some Faculties (Wellington & Auckland) to outline their main goals and provide some rules and regulations around how they want to operate to achieve their goals. They are also a useful tool for keeping on track.

Annual meeting guide 
The annual meeting guide is all you need to know to organise and run a successful annual meeting. As it states its only a guide and you can re-fit for your purpose

Notion - Notion (free and unpaid options)
Notion is a piece of notetaking software and project management software for notetaking, task management, project management, knowledge management, and personal knowledge management using databases and markdown pages for personal and collaboration work. Currently used and recommended by the Wellington Faculty.

Mailchimp – Faculty Mailchimp access 
Communicating with people, especially when you’re a membership organisation, is crucial and that goes for Faculties too. We know that Faculties want to be able to email your own groups (and not come through the College) and you can do this through your own Faculty Mailchimp login. Faculty chairs and secretaries have been sent their login and password. If you’re new to the role and don’t have the login details, please email faculties@rnzcgp.org.nz

LinkedIn Learning
As part of your member benefits, the College is offering free access to LinkedIn Learning. Explore hundreds of topics to enhance your professional development submit your details here and someone will be in touch to get you started.

The Institute of Directors 
A professional body for directors and is at the heart of New Zealand's governance community. Governance New Zealand
Offers a variety of education and training options to ensure you are equipped with the relevant skills, knowledge and resources to develop a successful career in governance, risk and compliance.

NZ Coaching & Mentoring Centre
The NZ Coaching & Mentoring Centre works with individuals, Boards and entire organisations to ensure not for profit organisations are well managed and led. We build the capacity of the sector by running workshops for NFP leaders, by working with Boards and by providing consultancy services that are sector specific and relevant to the needs of NFP organisations in New Zealand/Aotearoa today. EAP Services
All College members can access free EAP services confidentially by calling 800 327 669 (international number +64 9 353 0906). They have clinical psychologists, budget and financial advisors, legal advisors, and other professionals ready to support you. Please mention The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners when you call. There’s more information on the EAP website.

Research and Education Funding
Did you know the College’s Research and Education Committee (REC) awards funding rounds open three times a year for research that benefits general practice? Applications are welcomed from Fellows and non-Fellows of the College, with grants typically in the range of $5K - $20K for individual applications, although up to $40K can be awarded.
