The Board of The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners today announced the resignation of its Chief Executive Helen Morgan-Banda.

The Board thanked Ms Morgan-Banda for her service to the College since her appointment as CEO in 2012.

"We would like to thank Helen for her work on behalf of the College and its members during a time of significant change in the sector, and wish her well for the future."

The Board said Ms Morgan-Banda's resignation would take effect on 19 November.

The Acting CE, Ms Terina Moke, will retain this role while the Board, and its new President, consider options for the future leadership of the operational team.
