Application Process

Please be aware that your completed application should be submitted no later than four weeks before the date your CME activity is going to be offered.  We aim to process applications within two weeks of receipt of the completed application.

You will receive confirmation from the College once your application has been successfully submitted.

If you are applying on behalf of a College Faculty please go to your Faculty Toolkit to see the appropriate application type.

Obtain a login

You must obtain specific login credentials in order to apply for CME endorsement via the online application form. To obtain this, please contact the CME team at CME@rnzcgp.org.nz, or call us on 04 496 5999.

For GPs, please do not use your fellowship/membership login to apply - this will generate incorrect information in your application.

You'll need to provide: contact name, organisation name, address, email, and phone number. Please let us know if you're applying as a College Faculty.

On the basis of the College’s educational and quality criteria, a provider may be required to apply through an alternate endorsement route. If you are a pharmaceutical company and/or organisation offering education that is not based on standard practice, please contact the CME team to discuss an appropriate endorsement route. Eligibility for advertising of your endorsed activity(ies) will be done via the Communications team at their discretion.

Application and endorsement fees

As an endorsed provider, you can expect to receive:

  • Endorsement fees are waived if you are providing a free activity to GPs.
  • If you are providing both free and chargeable activities your endorsement will be split into two separate endorsements: an endorsement for your free activities and a further endorsement for your chargeable activities.
