Emergency Management Skills
Rural Hospital Medicine and Dual Fellows who hold a current practicing certificate are required to maintain their resuscitation skills course requirements for both Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Emergency Management Skills (EMS).
Requirements
- To meet the ACLS requirement Fellows must complete the NZRC CORE Advanced course, which must be refreshed every three years.
- To meet the EMS requirements, Fellows can either complete one tier-one course or two tier-two courses each triennium
- The St Johns PRIME course also results in a NZRC CORE Advanced certificate and thus meets both requirements
