Indicator 7: Screening and recall

Criteria Standard Evidence
7.1 The practice uses opportunistic and national population-based screening programmes, meeting the screening and recall requirements for both the enrolled and eligible population as per the national screening programme guidelines.
  • Describe how patients are referred to national screening programmes. 
  • Audit results that demonstrate equitable screening rates.
  • Identify who on the team is responsible for the recall procedure and how recall is undertaken.
  • Explain any additional approaches made to ensure equitable screening rates for under-screened populations (e.g. Māori and Pasifika).
  • Explain how evidence-based opportunistic screening is delivered.
