Become an assessor
Join the College in the promotion of continued quality improvement as an independent assessor for the Foundation Standard and/or Cornerstone modules.
Becoming an assessor provides extensive opportunities for ongoing professional development, gaining unique insights into diverse contexts of general practice within Aotearoa New Zealand, as well as providing recognition of your expertise in the health sector.
One of our endorsed assessors expressed that, ‘the role of the assessor, for me, is to be one of acknowledging and supporting the great achievements practices have made and when necessary, to provide advice or suggestions where improvement is still required for achieving particular standards’. Here at the College, we believe that it is important to ensure compliance but being able to add value is also rewarding.
So, if you are seeking career progression in the health sector, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Assessor directory
When you're ready to be assessed you will need to contact an assessor. You can visit our assessor directory and filter your search to find an endorsed assessor in the Foundation Standard, or Cornerstone module you require.
The only on-site visit required is for the Foundation Standard. When choosing a preferred assessor for your Cornerstone modules, you don't need to filter by region as those assessments are only assessed online.
