John Campbell: The art of unravelling stories without unravelling yourself

14 June 2022

By Kris De Sousa, Marketing and Events Advisor

The College is excited to announce keynote speaker John Campbell for GP22: the Conference for General Practice, sponsored by Pegasus Health.

John tells stories for a living, with a marvellous sense of warmth, compassion, and empathy.  As GPs and rural hospital doctors, you listen to stories for a living; to what’s being said, what’s not being said, the information your patients are too scared or embarrassed to share, and the silences that are sometimes about the little things, or the things that turn out to be life and death.

Join one of New Zealand’s most well-known broadcasters at GP22 to hear how he has listened to some of our nation’s most memorable stories while maintaining connection with the things and people that give him life, and what advice he has for GPs and rural hospital doctors.
