Presented by: Dr Tom Sapsford - Clinical Haematologist, Te Whatu Ora, Waitemata. Anaemia is common and can significantly affect wellbeing and quality of life. The underlying cause is often unclear, and the diagnostic tests can be confusing and complex to interpret.

This webinar offers a practical, comprehensive approach to diagnosing and managing anaemia, with a focus on identifying causes, interpreting blood results and ensuring safe, effective treatment.

Originally trained in the UK, Tom completed his Haematology training in 2022 in Auckland and works full-time in the public system at Waitemata DHB, where he holds clinical and research roles. He has a passion for medical education and systems improvement.

This session is ideal for anyone working in primary or community care, including GPs, NPs, practice nurses and Allied Health.
