In-person, 116 Harris Road, East Tamaki, Auckland

Learn to recognise and differentiate acute red eye from chronic dry eye conditions. Join us in person from 6.00 - 8.00pm. This FREE practical session will help you:

  • Understand common causes of red eye – including infection, trauma, and systemic disease
  • Assess and diagnose acute eye presentations without specialist equipment
  • Use patient history and external eye examination to distinguish mild, self-limiting conditions from those requiring urgent referral
  • Identify red flags such as sudden vision loss, severe pain, or systemic involvement that may indicate serious pathology
  • Make confident referral decisions based on clinical clues
  • Differentiate conditions that can be managed in primary care (e.g., allergic conjunctivitis) from those needing urgent ophthalmology assessment (e.g., microbial keratitis, glaucoma, scleritis)
  • Provide initial management and patient advice

4 CPD points.
